[Flash 8 CS2] Trouble with laser collision box

Sorry, new at the forums… Novora here.

I have this very annoying problem with my laser collision box, for my flash game. The issue is hard to explain, but basically, i can hit enemies which are not even touching the laser, because the hit box extends larger as the laser becomes diagonal…

Can someone offer me a hand on how to make it so that enemies would get damaged only when they come into contact with the laser? I’m using the regular hit-test at this point in time, and i’m not sure how the pixel/vector hit test thing works…
