I recently discovered kirupa.com and have been VERY thankful for the excellent tutorials, downloads, etc. They have been extremely helpful to me as a flash newbie.
I figured out how to make a simple photogallery (thanks to suprabeener’s code) and made several that work great with .jpg files. (“make a photo gallery” under the tutorial list on kirupa.com)
I’m now trying to use the same code/configuration to make a gallery that’ll display several .gif files. I double checked everything and triple checked it and finally converted everthing to .jpg and “voila” it worked.
Of course I don’t want .jpg files b/c my images are vector artwork/line drawing type stuff and .gif’ll work better for me.
Is there something diff about the way flash handles .gif files? if so is it this particular code? can it be modified to work with .gif files?
