Hello,
I have a problem that I hope that someone out there is willing to take on.
I will give you a little background information first.
I’m a part-time mountaineer, working regular jobs only to finance parts of my climbing trips that happens around the world.
My current quest is to climb the 7 summits, which is the highest mountain on each continent. Experience from previous expeditions I’ve been a part of showed us that the web is by far the best way to keep the public up to date on our progress. I can also say that an Everest expedition is bringing a lot of traffic, latest one a friend of mine attended got more then 50 million unique visits during the course of the 68-day long expedition.
Now to my problem. As a mountaineer and part-time worker my funds are limited but I can offer a spot in the sponsorspage for anyone who is willing to help out.
My personal website is very new. I bought a template in Flash that I thought I could fix all by myself but soon realized that I wanted more features that wasn’t included, such as picture gallery and a possiblity to update the website through an onine interface, rather then having to use Flash MX each time. When you are 7000 meters up on a mountain you are using a satellite telephone and PDA to update your website and fiddeling with Flash MX then would not be an option.
Anyway, the additions I would like is to have a photogallery added, and I would like it even more if there would be a possibility of having several different galleries to choose from, so that I can divide them into pics from different climbs.
I would also like to have the website editable through a web-interface and the news-section to be able to “fetch” XML-files in order to be able to send “live”-dispatches.
If you can do this and do it for free with a place in the sponsor-page, then great, if you want cash… then how much would it cost?
PS. I like the layout of my website now so no need to change that!
