Flash Animator
As a Flash Animator at CIDC you will use your strong graphics design skills to bring vibrant life and vitality to our online gaming products and websites. You are skilled in a variety of artistic and graphics formats, and have the ability to create fresh ideas that will appeal to an international audience. You are comfortable working as part of a team and you can employ source control tools and logical organization methods to facilitate efficient teamwork. Your primary function will be to create graphics for downloadable gaming software clients. Additional tasks will include assisting the marketing team in design of branding and imagery for new websites and products, and creation of promotional materials (including banner ads) for online marketing efforts.
RESPONSIBILITIES: As a Flash Animator, your responsibilities are:
• Product Graphics Design. You will develop the necessary graphical elements for various gaming products, primarily animating the designs of other team members.
• User Interfaces. You will develop the necessary graphical elements for the user interfaces on our gaming clients and backend tools.
• Miscellaneous Duties. As a member of the Product Management department, you may be asked to lend a hand on other projects or initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of the following qualifications and experience:
BS/BA in a Design discipline (e.g. Multimedia, Graphics)
professional experience with Flash
Demonstrable skill with Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator and Traditional tools
Demonstrable animation skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Technical aptitude and a cooperative/collaborative approach to teamwork
Ability to innovate, prioritize and multi-task in a quickly changing environment with overlapping deadlines and short development cycles.
Experience with a 3D software package such as 3D Studio Max is a plus
Experience in designing for online gaming or consumer eCommerce a plus
Experience in designing for multi-lingual websites or localized applications a plus
Experience working in a version control environment (Perforce, SourceSafe) is a plus
