hey folks.
so, i know that it is entirely possible to create a mac OS X dashboard widget that uses Flash. The widget strucutre is basically that of a webpage, and the .swf would be embedded in an HTML file within the .wdgt package.
I’ve seen such flash based widgets, but as far as i’ve seen they’ve all been games that do not connect to remote webservers.
my question is as follows: if lets say i was to make a flash-based mp3 player widget, that streamed mp3’s from a web server, am i going to run into security blocks? the whole sand-box thing?
anyone out there tried it or know enough to shed some light on my pretty dim view of this?
thanks!!
