I have a movie consisting of 9 square graphic symbols, in different layers, that fit together to make one large square image… I’ve animated the individual symbols, and it looks fine in Flash 5, but when I try to test the scene or the movie, or when I try to export it as .swf, the individual symbols are all the same… if I export it as .avi, it looks fine…
If I’m understanding you correctly, it sounds like you have a stop action in there somewhere that is preventing your movie from playing when you test it or export it out as a swf. I think when you export it as a AVI, the stop actions are ignored, I could be wrong though. If you can’t figure it out then post the file here so we could take a look. =)
If you mean an action in the frame that stops it from playing, I don’t think that’s the problem. The problem is in how the symbols themselves show up. Imagine a tic tac toe board, each square is a piece of a picture. The problem is that each of the pieces of the picture are showing up as the same picture so that I have a grid that consists of a repeating pattern instead of different pieces that fit together to make one large picture… But it shows up and plays fine when I play it in Flash itself, it only happens after I export it… anyway, maybe I’m not making myself clear, you can see the file at www.amca.us.cnchost.com . But I didn’t put in a preloader yet, so you might have to wait a little bit for the whole thing to play properly. Thank you so much!
