i saw the graphics on this site www.chaoticconstructives.com are using some kind of shadow.is it don in photoshop first and then imported into flash?
Yes, those are images imported into Flash… more than likely done in Photoshop.
Drop shadows can be done in flash too :).
Yeah, but it would probably be easier and look better in PS.

You just make a rectangle (prefebly dark gray), modify > shape > soften fill edges > 5/5 or 7/7.
