Flash Game Help PLZ!

I need help in a game im developing. Im trying to figure out a code for spawning random monsters in random places throughout a giant map and then go towards the character or player1 which would mean i need the “camera” to follow the character of player1 as well. Im not sure if this is even possible in flash.
