Ahh! (I got offered an awesome job, but…)
Ahh!
I was showing off my half-finished demo of a Flash game at a local cyber-cafe, when the (In an incredible hurry) guy doing some photocopying tells me it’s awesome, asks me if I make games and when I say yes he shoves this fantastic looking document (Like a business brochure thing, for investment peoples) into my hand then bolts.
I’m still not hot on the details, but from what I gathered I’d be making Flash games for the internet from other peoples drawings, but I’d be coming up with the ideas. So I’d use a character, say from a TV series, and it’d be a short target game or something, not a major part of the plot or anything.
Basically, I’ve been offered a job to create games with these cute little characters drawn by some of my FAVE artists ever! W00t! Right???
Wrong…
I’ve been designing games since forever, like everyone I know. You know; writing plots, designing costumes and drawing fabulous screen shots of the final product… And sure, I can kinda understand actionScript, but do I know enough to pump out a fun variety of games on a possibly regular basis??? Or to write them all from scratch myself???
I’ve been known to jump into the deep end before, I’m just worried about how deep this end may be…
