The UK’s leading genealogy website, seeks an experienced Flash guru on a contractual basis to contribute to converting an existing Flash-based Rich Internet Application from Flash 8/AS2 to Flash 9/AS3.
The application is web-based family tree genealogy software and the current F8 version is available online at findmypast.com. To view the application, click on ‘Create Your FREE Family Tree.’ Please take a look.
The project in whole needs to be ported to AS3. We are also looking to make some enhancements to the current product offering including, for instance, allowing printing of the family tree representation.
The Flash app communicates using XML-RPC with the webservers and databases.
