I was wondering if it is easy to create the photo gallery with a couple twists:

1). I would like the photos to auto-transition after 5 seconds or so without the user pressing the buttons. Also, I notice the photos fade in and fade-out to white. Could this feature be eliminated, or have a standard background?
2). Can a standard background be applied, and the fade-in/out only affect a couple layers? As you will see, the image gallery will be part of a logo/top header bar. When transition occurs, the fade-in/out disrupts the top.
http://www.metro-hockey.com/pages/ndp.php (this is a test page). Just to be clear, it would be nice to keep the green background with logo and just change the kids in the photo. (My action script used .jpgs, but could I use .gifs with transparent backgrounds?)
