I’ve been doing flash multiuser stuff for a few years now, several different projects. Flashnexus was my first server app.
I’ve moved onto using an IRC server for my flash multiuser stuff, and am looking for like-minded designers + developers who have an interest in this area to do some joint collaborations with.
I’ve a dedicated server, running the irc server + webspace, so I can setup experimentation areas.
As you may or may not know, IRC has been around for over 10 years, and is incredibly tried and tested form of server. For example efnet regularly has 50,000 concurrent users. There are also ‘services’, which give IRC database capabilites.
It’s also completely open source.
