Flash Mx and htm pages

Hi

i’m revamping one of my sites in flash mx, as i want to learn how to use it properly, but I need some help please.

I want to know if it’s possible to import htm pages into a frame or something set up in flash so when i click on any part of the navigation, the page will load up in my flash movie.

The other option i know of, is to create several swf’s and just load them into the main page as movie clips.

Hope i’m not too confusing, i’m just learning :-\

You cant load html pages into flash. Only text fields with a few html tags such as bold, italic, link, and a few others.

i’ll make it all in flash then :smiley: stops me being lazy and trying to import some old information.

ohh, one more question, how do you make scrolling areas of text? I know how to make dynamic text fields and import text files etc etc…

but can you make areas that scroll within the flash move?

Sure. You can make your own (but you need some actionscript knowledge), follow a tutorial (don’t have a link, sorry) or use the scrollcomponent in flash.

another question i have for you people (yes another, sorry)

when making some graphics for my flash site (in photoshop) i want a trasparent background on the images, so I create them and save them, but when they are put onto the flash movie they have white jagged edges all round them.

anyone know how to prevent this?

Save as .png would releave you of that problem me thinks.

Another way i found works is to add a few pixels width and height so there is more space around the image.
