I’ve been asked for a quote, but am not familiar enough with the all the technologies involved. I’m looking find out what my possible options are.
It is an existing site with an almost entirely Flash front end, Symfony PHP framework behind it to support all the necessary CRUD. And, presumably, a bunch of javascript and actionscript. All running on an https server. It is a user application that users log into (PHP handles auth).
What I have been asked is: They want to build an umbrella site, and let users log in from the umbrella site. Ideally the whole experience is handled on the umbrella site (handling incorrect logins e.t.c).
Is it possible? Does this sound like a complete nightmare?
I’d really appreciate any thoughts or comments on this. If I’ve missed supplying some crucial data, please let me know.
