I have a project that needs to be exported for flash 6. Does that mean I can’t use the new flash 8 features like filters and tween class in it?
Fraid so, I think you should be able to use the tween class though, it all gets compiled to AS1 anyway, just make sure you set the publish settings to mx and AS2
k thx.
How do i preview with different flash player versions?
You have to uninstall and re-install a different version…
actually i beleive there is an app that will do this automatically for you, but i cant find it:)
Plugin switcher can be found at:
Here’s a follow-up question along the same lines:
When starting a Flash project, would it be wise to publish it under an earlier version, say 5 or 6, so that it would cover the different viewing browser capabilities? Would this even matter and, if not, what would one do in order to cover as much ground to insure the maximum audience?
This should help, but it also depends on your target audience and how you deliver the flash content
