I’ve mostly used templates in the past, but I would like to design my own website this time around. I’m curious as to what is the best structure to create a site similar to this:

I understand that the basic structure is designed with ‘liquid GUI’ script. Is there anything special I need to put in the index.html to function correctly with liquid GUI? What would be the best starting dimensions in the designing phase?
What is the best way to structure this site as far as time line control and layers? I would assume that a main .swf file for the overall structure and menu buttons and then embedded .swf files for each different page. Would this be correct or is there a better method?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
