To find my postings in a kirupa forum, I use the advanced search. As I input the characters of my id and I pause after “new”, a list appears below the input field showing all id’s that begin with “new”. I scroll and click on newtome and that name replaces my input and the cursor is at the end of the id.
In my application, I have a very similar process where I replace what the user has input with their selection from the list but the cursor remains at the end their input. ie at the end of “new” not at the end of “newtome”.
Why is it so and how can I remedy it?
