I hope someone can help me; I’m doing this site as a favor for a friend.
I created a flashlight effect as a part of a 3-scene movie. the problem: I can’t get the flashlight effect to play nice with the other scenes. Here’s what happens: Even when the flashlight effect is at the top of the scene order, the movie will skip it and play Scene 2 and so on to the end. The weird part is that the sound effect I put with the flashlight effect scene plays during scene 2.
I’ve slowed things down enough so that I can see that (I think, anyway) the very first frame of the flashlight scene plays - but that’s it. I’ve looked all over, and there seems to be some kind of action scripting needed. I’ve tried a stop action just about everywhere I can think of, and the only thing that happens then it that the flashlight effect (Scene 1) will play - and that’s it.
When I test Scene 1, the flashlight effect, by itself, it plays perfectly. When I test the other scenes by themselves, they play perfectly. Does anyone know what I’m doing wrong? I feel it’s something simple, but i just don’t know what it is.
