can anyone show the actionscript commands how to make button or movie clip look like it were floating - moving slowly by itself independent of mouse movement in fix defined area; not all over the place.

i think you should take your button or movie clip, and add a motion tween with a motion guide. Make it move slowly around a small circle, and make it loop seemlessly. That is your best bet. You’d want to use Actionscript, if you want the mouse to interact, but since you don’t, i’d reccomment using a motion tween on a motion guide.
