Flocking, Spline Curves

I was just reading an interesting interview with Tim Skelly, the game programer who, in the '80s, made one of the finest video games of all time, “Rip-off.”

In the interview he said that the game was one of the first to introduce the idea of “flocking” and used spline curves to define the movement of the enemy tanks.

Has anyone here ever seen an example of flocking or spline curves used in Flash?
