i have a button on my stage that links to another page on my site. I want to be able change the URL on this button dynamically via a cue point in the FLV video. Im using video maru for the video interface but that shouldnt matter, its just needs to be AS2.
My videos are loaded in via an xml playlist and they are adverts for new stuff on my site so i need to be able to set the url on the button without opening the IDE and setting in manually.
i gues its just a matter of getting the link button to read a vairable containing the URL and setting that URL via cuepoints, but maybe there is a better way. Im not very strong with actionscript, so please be gentle! im sure its not that hard i just cant do it!
