I own a site ( http://13gb.com ) and it was time to go with flash video, seems like it’s the best solution for compatibility with all platforms
I came across this site http://www.jeroenwijering.com/?item=Flash_Video_Player and used this player to build what is currently on the site (yes, I paid for a license)
EXAMPLE : http://13gb.com/media.php?media_id=2394
I wanted to build it so the video controls fade in when you mouse over the video and fade out when you mouse out …
But like a thread I read here http://www.kirupa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=248412 I was having problems with buttons in side movie clips… the only way i was able to achieve this was to add a 10px border outside
to detect when the mouse is off the video… however this method is not perfect.
Is there a way to track the parameters of the mouse location and tell flash to display controls if you are in certain parameters?
How can I get this to work without having to settle for the solution I’m currently using
also your criticism on the player is welcome… colors, design, etc.
