I have some video files that I converted to FLV and I uploaded them to a testing server.
I used a SWF with a Media Component to load the FLV into the main swf movie. Pretty simple setup. Just doing the basics for testing…
When using this swf with the files I uploaded to my testing server everything loaded fine and played with no problems.
I then uploaded the same FLV files to my friends web server, who hosts my site for some more live testing. The files will not load now. I changed the address in the media component and double checked everything on my end. when I try to load the FLV in “Test Movie” mode I get “Error opening URL “http://www.brianpinkney.com/portfolio_examples/Aud_vid_3d/after_effects1.flv””
I am positive that the URL is correct.
Is there something on the server that may not be letting the video be downloaded?
A port being blocked?
Does the Flash Player 7 need to be installed on the server?
Any ideas?
