fmx2004: movie command issue

My structure goes like this:

navigation > communitySubNav > communityLink

On the communitySubNav movie, I’ve got a on(rollOver) which I want to command the communityLink movie to move forward one frame (gotoAndStop(2):wink:

The problem is, it’s not doing it. And I can’t figure out why. There shouldn’t be a problem here, yet there is :frowning:

Can anyone figure this out? On the same communitySubNav movie, I’m commanding the communitySubNav movie to play to its second frame. I was concerned that perhaps it was moving forward, and thus not getting the command, so I went ahead an put the command to move forward in the communityLink movie in multiple places - to try and make it happen. still, it refuses. Anyone have any suggestions?

I know this was complicated, so I’ve included the .FLA - it’s the COMMUNITY section we’re talking about here. Help me kirupaforum, you’re my only hope :wink:

See, it’s things like this that I HATE about Flash. The problem SHOULDN’T be there, but it is. 8 people have viewed this thread, and yet no one has an answer to this tiny conundrum :frowning:

Ok heres the problem on frame 2 of the communitySubNav mc you have a button on frame 2 just delete this frame and replace it with the communityLink movie clip :beam: if you need more help let me know :wink:

Im still trying to figure out how to get the buttons in community holder mc to work so dont celebrate just yet, why are you using buttons why dont you jsut change them into movieclips it would be much simpler and better and i could help you out faster :beam:
