Yes it locks (hide) specified folder and no other users can access it from anywhere…does’nt matter which operating system are u using.

Oh k, I dont know the new magic folder, but its not the greatest. 
I am not sure about this one I posted either never tried myself…
I have tried magic folder man, it’s the best out of the lot… as far as i think:)
