Formmail.pl?

Starting a couple weeks ago my site has been recieving many many hits for cgi-bin/formmail.pl. Why are so many people trying to access formmail.pl now when it wasn’t a problem before. Should I get formmail.pl and put it on my server? Thanks for the help.
