Very new to flash, bought MX pro and am trying to load a dynamic scrolling textbox that will recognise html codes. For all it costs you’d think it would be possible.
I have spent the last 3 days (til 5am one night) reading forums and downloading samples but it still won’t work exactly right.
Also I now seem to have a problem with the UIScrollBar component in that when I drag it onto the stag and snap it to the textbox, there are no top and bottom arrows. it is just a white rectangle.
I downloaded the 66MB updater 7.2 and that had no effect, in fact it told me that my version of flash was the same or more recent! Oh the pain!
I can use the scrollbar from the kirupa tutorial http://www.kirupa.com/developer/mx/dynamic_scroller.htm by dragging it from one project to another.
When I select the <> htmltext property button on the above tutorial fla and change the textfile to include a <b></b> tag, the <b></b> are displayed as part of the text.
Please help me.
