Not sure if that title would be the correct way to say it, but I’m having a problem with my full screen browser settings.
The problem is that my AS is calling out to move objects around on the stage, but some of the clips that it needs to move aren’t loaded into the movie, they’re just called from the library when needed. So since they’re not there when you call the AS, they don’t move once they get loaded onto the stage.
The gallery is from Braingiants, but I was using it to try and figure out how to work with xml/flash AS. I’ve tried and tried and can’t get the AS to move those objects. The movie clip controls respond to the AS because they’re on the timeline, but the actual clips that the thumbnails and the image itself get loaded into don’t go where they’re told. In fact, they don’t move at all!!
I’m also trying to figure out how to change it so that the entire gallery is inside one movie clip, then I could put the clip on the main timeline and move it around, but when I place the frames inside a movie clip, nothing works anymore at all. I wanted to do this because I have layers that are so supposed to be on top of the gallery. But when it loads the clips in, it loads them on the top layer and I need them loaded below some of the other layers. I don’t really get this advanced AS at all, but I’m trying to learn it.
I hope that makes sense. You can download the source files and get a better idea of what I’m trying to say. I’m not looking for someone to do it for me, show me how I’m supposed to do it and maybe explain the AS a little bit. I’m really trying to understand advanced AS so I really want to be able to do it myself. Thanks.
