Game slowed down when add stop();

My game used to all be one frame but now that i made it 3 frames to add a menu and preloader i had to make the menu say gotoandStop(); to play the third frame which has the game in it.

This slowed down the game (car driving) by a lot. Even when i make it in the menu say gotoAndPlay and add the stop to the top or bottom of the third frame it is still slowed down

any ideas?
