Hello,
I have a simple application hosted on firebase . Fire base has the ability to track how many visitors visit the the site via a cookie I think?. My application uses a simple local storage to store none personalised/private untraceable data.
Must I still show the GDPR message up front?
Yes, I believe so. I am not a lawyer, though. Just someone who read this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/gdpr/comments/apx6dq/gdpr_compliance_for_firebase_apps/
I don’t use authentication or databases. I only use local storage on not user things. I don’t know the user.
The only thing i use is the firebase statistics about how many visit the app.
I thought I only need to show the gdpr dialog if I store personal user information or collect personal information
