Uh, buying hosting is 1000x a better idea than running your own server, unless you happen to own a T1 or something…

This will automatically setup the latest version of Apache, PHP, and MySQL on your local machine with a pretty little taskbar icon to turn things off an on. Works like a million dollars.

it’s not forbidden, it’s just annoying. Right now no one can help it - there are some issues with the server. We’ll let λ go with a slap on the wrist and a warning this time.

It will only work on the pc it is on 
type “localhost” in the address bar on your browser
@seb I am using my laptop to run the XAMMP which i will use for my server until i can get this old PC i got to run! :red:
@Defective I have done that a few times it comes up with a orage nav bar and many good links (PHPmyAdmin my fav). So it works fine but the address will not show on other PC that are not im my house http://172.16.1.35/index.html
Cause it is not on the web.

well… theres alot of reasons it may not be on the web. Take a look at the config files, theres a spot to enter your URL, it will currently say “localhost”. You’ll have to change that to your ip address.
BTW seb: I use this at home as well… it’s called a local test server where you can get things working before you upload them to the WWW.
Defective were is the config file? BTW wamp does not work on either laptop or PC my older pc is running just gotto install wireless which ill do tomorro
