Ok we have a very simple webpage in flash, we need to make some changes to a few text fields. When I open the .fla file I get the message below:
“One or more fonts used by this movie are not available Substitute fonts will be used for display and export. They will not be saved to the Macromedia Flash authoring document”
At that point I am given the option to select either a substitute to default font. The problem below occurs regardless of which one I choose.
Ok, so I find the text fields (a list of company contacts, each contact is its own text box) and edit what I need to. I then save the .fla as a .swf. But when I view the .swf, the entire page (all text boxes, regardless of if I edited them or not) are invisible. I can tell that they are there but invisible, because when you move the mouse over the area, where you would expect the email links to be, they will work if you click. This is incredibly frustration please help. I talked to the guy who originally made the web page and this was his answer "
[size=2]It’s a font issue. Garamond book or black is missing. If you have a font
similar to that I’d just change it. The font is the header on the contact
page… This is what I believe the issue is. It could be something else. But
that’s my best guess."
The only other thing I can think of is that the original was created on a Mac and I am working via PC.
