getURL dont open Browser

I have a strange getURL Problem under some windows installations. I autostart a Flash-projector from a CDROM. This file contains some buttons with getURL. When clicking on the buttons, the browser starts and shows a HTML-file from the CDROM.

But under some circumstances this won’t work. We have found some Windows-installations where we are not able to start the browser by calling getURL.

I know, this seems not to be a Flash problem. It looks like a problem in the interaction from a Flash projector and Windows.

Does have someone any idea or a solution?

Thanks in advance,

Windows sucks  Did you notice any difference between the machines that work and those who don’t ?

Yeah, windows sucks really.

Yes there are differences. When opening the CDROM with Windows Explorer and doubleclicking on the index.htm don’t open the browser. When making a link from index.htm to the desktop and doubleclicking on this link on the desktop opens the browser.

:!:

That’s weird … sounds like a fµcked up Windows to me …
