Okay this is odd. I have built a document catalog in Flash MX that launches pdf files from a button click using getURL (because the fscommand thing for launching acrobat reader never worked for me ). Anyway, it works great if the user has IE as their default browswer
but I use Firefox (joy!) and have convinced others at work to use Firefox (double joy!) BUT the pdfs will NOT open up in Firefox!
Instead I get something weird - a double tabbed window. The first tab just stays blank and says “untitled”. The second tab launches a NATO webpage? (http://www.nato.int/science/calendar/calendar.htm)
I mean, what the heck? :h:
I am hoping some genius out there who loves Firefox will tell me that it is as simple as inserting a line of code in my header somewhere. By the way, this whole project is launched as an exe so there is no html page associated with it. Hope that’s not a problem . . .
