Anyways, back to mothers day, or as my sister and I privately refer to it, ‘smothers day’.
We’re making a hamper of food she likes but doesn’t buy for herself because it’s too expensive or inconvenient to get. Stuff that’s going in so far is:
Black pudding
some good quality pate
San Pellegrino chinotto in the little bottles that she likes
Some expensive-arsed marmalade
Not sure what else, I think we’re going deli-hopping tomorrow
