Hi guys. I’ve been referring back to this site on and off for a couple of years, but I’m only just getting involved with Flash now. I’m coming to the close of a group project at Uni, and am developing a site for our final product. I am much more design-minded than code, so AS 2.0 is a challenge. Here’s what I’m trying to achieve:
I would like to take the principals from this tutorial - glow filer - and use text as a button behaviour instead of a movieclip. This is so that I can create a navbar with the glow filter effect on hyperlinked text and then incorporate the [URL=“http://www.kirupa.com/developer/mx2004/menu_with_slider.htm”]slider tutorial.
I have managed to get both working perfectly well seperately, but together they don’t want to play because obviously one is an mc, the other a button, so I get a conflict in the coding. Would anyone have any ideas on this? If so, I would be incredibly grateful!
