The things are not being changed very often. I think the forum header should be a dynamic thing. Maybe have a list of 20 different items that are loaded at random into the header each time the page is loaded.

I think some things should be permanent links instead of featured links. Like kirupaville for example. I think it should have it’s own permanent link next to the featured links.

I don’t think that featured things should be limited to graphics. Maybe some hot news, a pimp job offer, a joke, or even a special event for a member could make the “featured in the header” thing.
That’s my 2 cents worth.
