Hey everyone,
Just wondering, what are some good speakers to get for the computer? I realized my laptop’s speakers aren’t doing my music any justice, so I decided to order an external sound card (Audigy 2 External), but now I am wondering which speakers should I get for it?
Any suggestions? I’d prefer 5.1 speaker recommendations, but I’m also not interested in spending more than $200 for the speakers, for I am not a hardcore music listener, nor do I listen to my music very loudly either. I just want to hear Mozart without the low-quality…ness of my laptop’s sound
If you can afford them, Klipsch makes some of the best speaker sets out there. I’ve heard wonders about the Klipsch ProMedia ultra 5.1 Speakers. My friend has an old model of them and they’re still amazing!
my Logitech Z-640 (5.1 speaker system) works great for me. they’re about a year old now, but that will all the more mean that it’s cheaper, eh? got em for SGD127 then.
they can go loud without “belching”, if you know what i mean. the sound quality is good too. classical or rock music, it’s all good on them speakers

Hey Kirupa, wasnt there a thread like this before? haha anyway I reccomend any thats said above. Logitech, Altec, Creative or TDK. The TDk has a massive bass as well as being very slim for ideal gaming.
I looked at that one also soulty, but it seemed overkill for me. I found the Logitech Z-640 for only 49.99 on newegg.com compared to the 180 or so for the 5300. I may go with a Z-680 for my home PCs, but I already ordered my Z-640 and Audigy 2 USB2.0 sound card for now
