Good quality sound in flash mx

How to keep a good quality of sound in flash ?
We have compressed all our sounds in mp3. The quality of those mp3 is great.
When there are imported in flash, the quality is reduced.
The same thing with the sounds of the quicktime films.

Do you know what is the best settings in flash? or any other advices ?

you can look at our site :

Hey i went to your site, i didt hear any sound though?

I like your site! :stuck_out_tongue:

Open your library in Flash.

Right click no the .mp3 file.

Choose properties.

In there you can change the quality. This does up your file size, so be aware

You can also set the quility of all sound and imported pictures in you movie by going to files publish settings.

You might find problems with quality if you import mp3 files into Flash. That’s because an mp3 is already compressed, and when you publish, Flash will compress again. That’s where problems occur. So generally if you can import uncompressed files to your movies you’ll get better quality. Plus you can play around with the Sound settings when you publish, to get the best quality you can for as lower file size as possible.

we love the idea of working with mp3. Because the quality is very good and the weight is pretty light.
And flash seams to open the door to work with this format.
I have done some experience with dynamic load. But for some reasons the browsers didn’t play them.
