Grabbing Info from a Web Page

:thumb:

Is there a way that FLASH can grab the news headlines from another web page and display them?

(i.e. grab the headlines from http://money.cnn.com/index.html?cnn=yes and display the links or story in a fla.?)

If it is possible, does anyone have the fla. or the coding that they could post?

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

Thanks

still?
ok, i’ll have a look at the fla you had posted…
better to bump the same thread tho’ instead of reposting…

edit: your fla gives me an “Sorry, unexpected file format” in MX04…?

(-: Sorry eyezberg.

I thought this might be different and I wasn’t sure so I posted it to a new thread.

I got the stock quote to work I will post the final fla. tonight so others can use it/see it.

The Stock Quote working fla. is from a Flash tutorial but the tutorial shows you how to pull the data from a Web Server (.wsld). So, in a way this is different.

A news ticker fla. … any fla. or coding that pulls data from a web page would be greatly appreciated. I can usually figure it out if I see an example.

Thanks for everyone’s patience
