I am trying to figure out this problem. I hope anybody can help me out. Maybe some played this game when they were younger…

i want about the same thing happening in my flash movie. except that the gears are rotating, an object will drop from the top of the flash movie in the grid of the gears. and with gravity the object will fall into the next gear.

Can anyone here give me some starting tips? I have looked around, but mostly found platformgames which require moving with keyboard arrow buttons. Or a bouncing ball falling on a flat surface. Is there an easy way of doing this, without using difficult math?
I looked at TONY PA
but not exactly what i am looking for.
