When I create a new page the links that automatically were inserted are all functional , but gray and I have to go back and manually change the color. I suspect this is a template problem as this template is for FP 2000 not 2002. Is there any way to solve the problem?

You can right click on an empty area of a page and select Page Properties. You will see the options for changing the hyperlink color. Change it to something other than default or gray.
That should fix your problem…I hope!

yes, that’s what i was going to say but i wasn’t sure so i resorted to writing nonsense. 
When I go to "page properties " I can temporarily change to another than gray , but I can’t change the “automatic” color which is still gray, so it reverts.

In Internet Explorer, go to Tools | Internet Options. Click the Colors button and ensure “Use Windows Colors” is selected. This problem may be a browser-only feature.
