Some may know, because recently this site won a FWA of the “Site of The Day”, the game is Tanki Online: http://tankionline.com
I knew this game before, in reason of my interest by Alternativa 3D engine. All the game was made with Alternativa 3D and is incredible what the game developers did with it!
Who use 3D engine in any programing language, specially in AS3, know how painful is optimize the performance of poligons, of textures, of lights, you know, this kind of annoying thing that involve “try and error”, a lot of tests and long hours of work.
The Tanki Online is completely in 3D, with a great performance, has a great integration with Flash Media Server to put all players together, a great DataBase with periodically backup and optimization. Is really awesome to see how incredible can be the AS3 doing games!
