Having trouble with my slider bar

Hi,

I am having trouble with my slider bar. I used the following tutorial: http://www.kirupa.com/developer/mx2004/menu_with_slider.htm

Problem is…seems like the positioning of the slider is off. It’s not going to each button instance. My files are attached for anyone who wants to take a stab at helping me figure this out.

I didn’t look at your file but it looks like it’s just a problem with Instance Names… double check that the Instance Names you gave the buttons are the same in the ActionScript. :wink:

it is the registration point…make sure that the rigistration point of the mc “slider” is in the middle…this should fix your problem

Still am having some issues here :frowning: I moved the registration point on the slider bar to the middle and it just starts the slider at the middle of the bar. I cannot seem to make it slide far right enough to the “contact” button. Any suggestions?

Your registration point is still off.

Use the Align Panel to center it (slider) to your Movie Clip. Then go back to your main stage and using the Free Transform Tool drag that dot to the center of the Movie Clip.
