Read this interesting article regarding both technologies, some things like the image cropping could be due to the Blu-Ray palyer but this is still yet to be confirmed but so far it don’t look good for Sonys Blu-Ray.
I still dont understand why they keep saying Blu_ray is superior if its just a mpg2 with higher res, whereas HD-DVD is using VC1 compression which is like some sort of mpg4/divx compression so really what Blu-ray has in extra storage space HD-DVD more than makes up fot it with its compression technology, this is how I view it.
