Help a poor newbie, kind designers:)

hi. like i said in the title, i’m (still) a newbie in flash, so i have a n00b’s problem… i’ve seen in many many flash sites that they can load different parts of the flash asynchronously (not at the same time). how is that done? does the flash have included more than one movie (not movie clip) inside it? how do i, for example, show the user a picture is loading, or my menu?

yes, i know you’ve seen this a zillion times before and you’re prolly booored:asleep: can you please try to help me? i wanna get into this flash thing really seriously:)

you can externally load many different types of files into to a flash movie, and the ones you maybe speaking of are a jpg and a swf. search the forums and kirupa for “load external” and you could add to those words: jpg, text file, swf, xml, or anything else you may think could be externally loaded.
