Can anyone tell me the difference between coverting a symbol to a graphic and to a movie clip?

Movieclip:
Plays even if root timeline is stoped
Can have instance names [called on actionscript]
Actionscript in the frames of movieclip
Graphic:
Stops if root timeline is stopped
[say if you have 5 frames in your swf, and your graphic has 8, it will only play the frist 5]
No actions inside graphic

A Graphic is a static image or text and it has only one frame.
