Help! I need help with the transition between external swf tutorial

Sorry, if this is already posted. Anyways, I tried the transitions between external swf files tutorial and everything went okay with the transition. Now, I am having problems. At first I was struggling to get the text to appear in the main movie but I did something and now it works. Now, I can’t seem to get the scroll bar to scroll the text at all. It is getting very frustrating!! What I dont get is that it works fine when I test those swf files in its own movie, but when I test it in the main movie it doesn’t work. I mean the transitions between swf files worked fine, but the scroll bar is not cooperating. Is there an actionscript that could solve this? Please help and thanks in advance.

I am uploading external text files just incase you were wondering.

It may be an addressing problem, but if that was the case then the whole external wouldn’t appear.

I’m assuming your using flash mx 2004, try saving the file as an mx file and then testing it.

It may work, give it a shot!

I tried that and it didnt work. How do I put my files up here so you guys can see where I went wrong in my actionscript. Yes, I am using the latest verson Flash 2004mx.

Theres a button at the bottom, when your posting a thread ‘manage attachments’ click on that and select your file.

Attachments have to be less that 75 kb.

my files are too big. How could I load it up to my site and have you guys dl it from there. I know how to upload the files, what I meant was to what directory should I upload it to?

I finally figured it out! It has something to do with the codes. I must be using old version codes, but hey I did get it fixed!

However, I do have one more question. I would like to be able to load jpg files into the dynamic text box. For example, they will be visible as thumbnails images and vistors have the options of clicking on the images to enlarge it. I would also like to do other effects to those images, such as, pop messages when vistors click on the images. I know this is possible because I saw it on someone’s site. Do I do all this in a different movie? Please help. Thanks.

I seriously need help! I am having a hard time trying to load movies. It doesnt cooperate at all. For example, I have created buttons that calls for external text files and that works out fine. Now, I want another button that do the same thing but calls for a .swf file, which contains images. And I want it to show up in the text box like the rest of the text files. I used the normal load movie code and that just loads the .swf without any destination nor does it go away when I click on a different buttons. Please help. =(
