Help scrolling a movie with buttons

I want to make a movie clip containing a row of image thumbnails, scroll left and right. I want to be able to control the scroll of the clip with arrow buttons. I have found tutorials for cursor controlled scrolling movie clips but not button controlled clips. Can anyone help me out?
