Hello all. Here is the flash I’m trying to create but really don’t know how/where to start.

If you don’t want to read all the details below, just visit that website and see if you can recreate the flash to a certain extend especially the scrolling with the view larger image.

I’m an advanced beginner in flash but I can follow tutorials quite well.
Here are some features that the above flash has:

[]Continuous, automatic, and repeating horizontal scrolling slideshow. I’d like for it to be paused when you hover.
[]When clicked over an image, you get its larger view w/a close button. Notice that the background is still scrolling but it’s a little faded. I’d rather make it more faded so it’s not so subtle. Also, instead of clicking on the Close button to close, it’s easier to just click on the image again to close. If possible, have a left and right arrows as buttons so you can navigate to the previous or next page, respectively.
[]With the larger view image, you can move it around. Once moved, it will stay there so when you click on a different image, it will pop up at the last previous spot.
[]Each image is inside a rounded corner box. Some are reduced to fit inside the box and some are cropped. Not sure if this can be done programmatically.
[]When you refresh, the box has a different size and placement.
[]Option to control the speed of the scroller.
[*]Menu for links to go to a different page. Notice you can move this around too, but within the vertical size of the slideshow only.

Thoughts on how to create the flash:
As a beginner, I see that you have to use multiple methods to create it. Some methods I can think of are:

[*]Some way to point the images to an XML file for easier modification. Not sure which tutorial is the right one. THOUGHT: It is possible to point to 1 XML file and the flash will distribute those images randomly to each rounded corner box?

That’s all I can think of for now.
I know this is very complicated and I don’t really need to have all the features…but I’ll be very happy if it does. The features I need are the continuous horizontal scrolling with the view larger image pops up and the option to control the speed of the scroller.
I also know this won’t be a 1 or 2-day tutorial thing. If anyone would like to take this challenge, I’ll be happy to work on 1 thing at a time. I’ll take however long it takes [hopefully less than 3 months] to complete this flash.
